My Aqiqah
Aqiqah is an Islamic tradition in which Muslims celebrate the birth of their baby by offering an animal sacrifice as an act of gratitude to Allah for the blessing of a child.
During the Aqiqah lots of things take place, such as: the animal sacrifice, prayers, the distribution of food to people in need and amongst family as well as shaving the baby's head and naming the baby.
For my Aqiqah, my grandparents decided to host their community, in order to celebrate me. Here are some pictures. Enjoy!
